Nation’s largest Black woman-owned cause marketing and social impact agency makes 2023 list for the fourth consecutive year
(Washington, D.C.) August 17, 2023
CMRignite, the nation’s largest Black woman-owned cause marketing and social impact agency, has earned a spot on the 2023 Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in the United States for the fourth consecutive year. This prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment: independent, entrepreneurial businesses.
“This recognition is a testament to our talented team of professionals who create and implement campaigns that connect with diverse audiences and positively impact communities,” said David Bowles, president of CMRignite. “Earning a spot on the Inc. 5000 list is truly an honor because we’ve worked hard to build an award-winning team that reflects the diversity of our country. I couldn’t be more excited about CMRignite’s future and our continued growth.”
The agency, which serves government agencies, Fortune 500 companies and national nonprofits, grew exponentially after being selected as part of the team of agencies hired to develop and implement the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ national COVID-19 Public Education Campaign. CMRignite was responsible for leading all efforts targeting Black/African American populations, including earned media, research and strategy, creative development, media planning and buying, and partnership development.
Today, CMRignite has 60 full-time staff, 70% of whom are Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ+ and/or people with disabilities.
“It takes special skill, serious determination and smart operating to reach this milestone,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc., in a recent video congratulating Inc. 5000 winners. “It’s an achievement that is truly inspiring to the entire business community.”
