Annual WIC Outreach and Awareness Campaigns

Since 2007, Wisconsin WIC has partnered with CMRignite to find new ways to boost awareness and enrollment among eligible parents and caretakers across the state.
The “WIC (Mom) Strong” campaign was designed to connect with Millennial and Gen Z parents, highlighting the benefits of WIC, from nutrition education and healthy food assistance to breastfeeding support and referrals to additional resources. A strategic digital, social, and media campaign brought the program to life with messaging that resonated with the target audience.
The results were exceptional. Web traffic increased by 65%, video views grew by 394%, and the campaign reached more than 45,000 people on Facebook. Most importantly, WIC enrollment doubled with a 100% increase in the first year of the campaign, demonstrating the power of culturally relevant, digitally driven outreach.
