CMRignite Earns Platinum and Gold Honors at MarCom Awards

CMRignite, the nation’s largest minority-owned behavior change and social impact agency, has earned platinum and gold honors from the MarCom Awards, one of the largest and most respected competitions in the marketing and communications industry. Administered by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the MarCom Awards honors excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity, hard work, and generosity of industry professionals. 

Both of the agency’s winning campaigns focus on nutrition for women, infants and children. CMRignite earned a Platinum Award  for the Women Infants and Children (WIC) National Enrollment Week campaign and a  Gold Award  for its National Breastfeeding Awareness Month campaign, entitled Mom Strong. 

The Breastfeeding Awareness Month campaign shared the benefits of breastfeeding for both mom and baby and the National Enrollment Week Campaign has proven to be highly effective in enrolling more families in the WIC program. CMRignite developed bold, creative, multi-language assets for both campaigns, which included paid advertising and social media, to promote impacting initiatives for families.

The breastfeeding campaign’s social media performance exceeded the government and advocacy click-through-rate (CTR) with a 5.09% CTR. In addition, the Black/African American and Native American targeting achieved the highest completion rates for Connected TV, demonstrating its effectiveness in reaching these audience segments for paid media.
